How Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s Relationship as Co-Parents Has Evolved

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West share four kids, which means, even though they are no longer together, they are co-parents.

A source tells E! that the two have a “healthy” co-parenting relationship, adding: “They have been communicating more and more.”

Kardashian attended West’s “Donda” listening party last month in Atlanta and attended the second one on August 5.

“Kanye invited the family to come out to Atlanta again and they wanted to go and show their support,” the source said of Kardashian’s attendance at the events.

Kardashian has rarely spoken publicly about the split.

During the series finale of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kardashian told her mom, Kris Jenner: “I never thought I was lonely, and I always thought, ‘That’s totally fine.’ I can just have my kids, my husband moves from state to state, and I’m on this ride with him and I was okay with that,” she said. “After turning 40 this year, I realized like, ‘No, I don’t want a husband that lives in a completely different state.’ To me, I thought, ‘Oh my God, that’s when we’re getting along the best but then that is sad, to me. And that’s not what I want.’”

On the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion following the series end, Kardashian expanded on this:

“If I asked you point blank, ‘Why did your marriage not work?’ what would you attribute it to?,” host Andy Cohen asked.

Kardashian responded: “I honestly don’t think I would even say it here on TV, but it was not like, one specific thing that happened on either part,” she said. “I think it was just a general difference of opinions on a few things that led to this decision. And like, in no way would I want someone to think that I didn’t give it my all, or not really try. You know, we have four kids. There’s nothing that I think parents would want more than to see, or even kids want more, than to see their parents together. I grew up, and I lived that myself.”
